I started playing music at 1 year old, literally. My parents were both touring musicians when I was born, and on my 1st birthday they got me a little snare drum and some tiny sticks and a wind up Mickey Mouse guitar. Over the years, I taught myself drums, guitar, bass, and piano. I would spend hours in my room playing along to my records (Beatles, Kiss, Van Halen, etc.) and picking out each little note one by one, learning where to put my fingers or how to copy a drum beat or fill. Funny thing is that I can’t honestly tell you how old I was when I realized that I could play.

What makes a great song - Emotion, emotion, emotion!! A great song to me is one that not only grabs my ear, but also stimulates my emotions. I love melody, arrangement, and lyric, but it definitely has to hit me emotionally as well as being nice to the ear.

Other bands: Life of Riley, Twitch's Brew, the acoustic duo "The Dynamos", and from time to time Mindy Body Soul.
Hobbies and other interests: scuba diving, skydiving, surfing, writing, and cooking when time permits.
